Official Contest Rules/Privacy Policy

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. By submitting content to Altitude Marketing to enter the contest, you expressly agree to be bound by the following Official Contest Rules:

ENTRY PERIOD: The Altitude Marketing Scholarship Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on August 14, 2017 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on January 7, 2018.

ELIGIBILITY: All applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States currently attending an accredited college or University, OR be attending an accredited college or University beginning in the spring 2018 semester.

  • Incoming freshmen: Applicant must be enrolled in a nationally accredited college or University for the 2018 spring semester by the time the tuition check is paid to the University. Applicant must have a high school degree or equivalent and have taken either the ACT or SAT test.
  • Current freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors: Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or University between January 1, 2018 and June 1, 2018.

The college or University listed in the application must be accredited and listed on the official website of the US Department of Education

(http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx).

Students attending military academies are unfortunately ineligible for this scholarship. Any school transfer is subject to accreditation approval.

A student will be considered ineligible to receive scholarship funds should they or their parent/legal guardian be employed by Altitude Marketing at the time of the award. If other funds pay college expenses (tuition, fees, books, on-campus room and board) in their entirety for the spring 2018 semester, the student will no longer be eligible to receive the scholarship funding.

JUDGING AND THE SELECTION OF WINNERS: A panel of judges from Altitude Marketing will review all entries. Submissions are due by Sunday, January 7, 2018. Applications will be judged on creativity of, and ability to express marketing idea, as well as the submission’s real-world effectiveness. ONE winner will be announced on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Altitude Marketing’s sole discretion, and such decision shall be final and binding. If the winner is unable for whatever reason to accept their prize, Altitude Marketing reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant. Winners are responsible for taxes and any other incidental expenses or costs associated with claiming the prize.

THE WINNER: One winner will receive a one-time $500 scholarship to be used towards graduate or undergraduate tuition and/or on-campus room and board for the spring 2018 semester. Payment will be provided by Altitude Marketing and will be issued by Altitude Marketing, made payable to the student’s approved college or University listed in the above contact form. The scholarship check will be mailed after January 12, 2018 directly to the accredited college or university.

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES: The recipient of the Altitude Marketing scholarship must be actively enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior for the 2018 spring semester, and remain so for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency, or military service. It is the responsibility of the recipient to verify the receipt of funds with the University or College listed in the application and notify Altitude Marketing should the scholarship check not arrive on or about 30 days from the issue date. Altitude Marketing reserves the right to alter or discontinue this program at any time without notice.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: By entering the contest, you represent and warrant that (i) the submission is your original work and has not been published previously, in whole or in part, or been submitted to any other contest or won an award or prize of any kind; (ii) you have obtained all the rights, licenses, and permissions in writing from each person (including parent/legal guardian) whose likeness appears on the submission and will provide copies to Altitude Marketing upon request; and (iii) the submission does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, logos, contract and licensing rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights, or any other intellectual property rights.

MEDIA ACTIVITY: By participating in the Altitude Marketing Scholarship Contest, you agree to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the contest. If you are the winner, you agree that Altitude Marketing may use your name and likeness to administer and promote the contest and to conduct media interviews and promotional events.
